The Paugusset Club Swimming and Diving Teams compete in the Connecticut Private Club Sim League with other area clubs. Swimmers/divers aged 5-17 are invited to take part in our exciting, competitive, and fun programs! Our coaches are passionate and knowledgeable, and have years of experience participating and coaching at the club, high school, and collegiate level.
SWIMMING
All Paugy members aged 5-17 who can safely complete a 25 yard swim are invited t be a member of our team. Our swim season includes daily weekday practices, 5 meets with area clubs, and our championship meet. Beginner swimmers will work with our team of in-water coaches on the basic skills of the four competitive strokes, diving and finishes in a fun and nurturing environment. Swimmers of all ages can enjoy the individual and team challenge of swimming with a focus on racing skills, team excitement, and fun! Our 2019 team had multiple league individual champions and a runner-up finish at our Division II championships. DIVING All Paugy members aged 5-17 with a positive attitude and the ability to safely swim to the surface of the water from a jump off of a 1 meter springboard are invited to join the Paugy Diving Team. Whether you are learning the basics of a front hurdle or working towards mastering a new dive, our diving team provides the instruction, excitement, and opportunity to excel at any level. In 2019, Paugy divers had 15 top-5 finishes and wont the overall Team Championship! |

2024 Coaching Team
DIVING COACH:
Amy Campanelli-Buggé started diving her freshman year at Lauralton Hall (LH) in Milford. There she was 3 time All-State diver and a member of the 1989 State Open Swim/Dive Team. She served as captain her senior year. She also competed for the JP Divers out of New Haven. Amy continued her diving career at West Virginia University. There she received a degree in elementary education. After graduating from WVU she started teaching 2nd grade in Milford as well as coaching. She coached diving at LH for 13 years. For the past six years, she has coached Hamden Hall's coed high school team. Before coaching at Paugusset Amy spent many summers coaching at NCFC and Woodway CC. Amy lives in Milford with her husband Vinny and daughter Alyson. |
HEAD SWIM COACH:
Rory Woods is a Hamilton College graduate and art teacher at St. Thomas Day. She learned how to swim here at Paugusset 20 years ago and hasn’t stopped since. After swimming for both high school and college, she continued to coach at Lauralton Hall this past year and is thrilled to return to her roots at Paugy! |
ASSISTANT SWIM COACH:
Aly Buggé started her swimming career at Paugusset when she was just 6 years old. After that she became a competitive swimmer at HHAC and Lauralton Hall alongside Head Coach Rory. Aly was the volunteer 6/under coach for many years. Many of you may recognize her as one of Paugusset’s Head Lifeguards. Aly just completed her sophomore year at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio where she is studying psychology. |
